The Block.IS Cluster Missions is a supporting tool/methodology to engage and connect clusters (with different levels of developments and from different sectors of focus) allowing its participants to understand and “feel” the hosting cluster ecosystem, learn the processes required to boost innovation, find out about the available resources, build relationships and expand their networks and capacity to support their SMEs’ growth. Moreover, they will present and represent their own clusters in the Block.IS clusters community, as well as they will have the opportunity to bring one of their star SMEs (subject to selection by Block.IS team by implementing assessment methodology given in this document) to share a success story or valuable innovation use case and examples how blockchain technology supports three verticals Block.IS supports. It would be ensured that participants are exposed in order to share the insights about their home clusters and, most importantly, they would be given enough opportunity to build personal relationships with other clusters and local networks.
Block.IS will implement at least 15 missions along the 3 years project, engaging more than 75 clusters and 45-star SMEs (visualization given in Figure 1), targeting to have participants from all European countries.
